Out on the "Farm"

I know it's been a while since I last updated this site. It's been a crazy summer!

We took a trip out to the Lake County Farmpark today. Turns out they were also having the Village Peddler days and had a Craft Fair and lots of yummy food. Anna went on her first pony ride and LOVED it. Thought you might like to see it. I think she's braver than her mother probably was at her age. She jumped at the chance, and cried when it was over. She must have some "country girl" in her even though she was born a city girl!

The Librainium

One of Anna's new favorite places is the Librainium at the Lakewood Library. Only two blocks from our house, the Lakewood Library was recently renovated and this great new kids area was added. It's definitly the newest hot spot in the toddler world! I found these pics on the local Lakewood website.

We've had a busy few weeks. It's hard to believe that we are already close to the middle of June! May just flew by for us. Ian and I were in Las Vegas, then I was in NYC for a weekend and finally, Anna and I went to Dewey Beach, DE with Grandma Vonny, Uncle Ian and Uncle Tam. We had a fun time! Thanks to Aunt Patience and Uncle Gary for letting us use their beach house!

We're looking forward to summer. Hoping to discover as many fun, free things as we can in this big city of ours. We'll keep you posted on what we find! Cleveland winters stink, but I always say that the summer makes up for it. It's beautiful here!

Springtime & Vegas

Our little explorer is having so much fun outside these days. She constantly wants to go out and "a-wak, a-wak, a-wak" (walk). Ian and I just returned from Las Vegas. Ian was attending a conference and I got to go along for free! Lost $50 gambling and we'd had enough of that. We placed our bets on Eight Belles in the Kentucky Derby. If you saw the race, you'd see what kind of luck we have. Really enjoyed checking out the casinos. They are unbelievable. I'm posting a clip of the fountains at the Bellagio. It was my favorite part! "Oma" (Grandma Vonny) came out to Lakewood to take care of Anna while we were away. They had a great time.

The Banana Wagon

Anna had a fun time this weekend riding in her new wagon. Poppa Eckman built it for her from an old wagon base that (brother) Ian and I had when we were little. I kept saying that all she needs this summer is an umbrella and a wagonful of bananas and I think she could start a business.

Flor-i-da: Anna sees Elmo

We just got back from our trip to Florida. Anna had a fun time seeing her grandparents, uncle and great-grandparents! She was a great traveler...at 16 months, already her third trip on an airplane. We met up with my friend (and college roommate) Elsa and her family, Elias, Jorge and Gabi at SeaWorld on Thursday. Check out the clip of Anna during the "Elmo and the Bookaneers" Show...she could hardly contain herself!
